The music I listen to definitely influences the work I’m making. Often it’s the tempo and the mark making. It feeds the impulsion before the reflective thought and is vehicle in which to escape.

And it’s not just the musicality. It’s that visceral rush of familiarity…the classic fuzzy benefits of nostalgia. And on occasion, the sadness. Or the protest.

It’s been a privilege and pleasure working with children from Reception Class to Year 6 over the last few months. A whole learning journey of printmaking with cultural, environmental, and wellbeing threads. We’ve blockprinted, relief printed and monoprinted, creating both individual and collaborative artworks.

Super excited to be showing with Jean-Luc Almond in a couple of weeks. TRACE is an exhibition of paintings and drawings from 10-21 March at The Basement at Bunyan exhibition space, Mill Street, Bedford.
Super excited to be showing with Jean-Luc Almond in a couple of weeks. TRACE is an exhibition of paintings and drawings from 10-21 March at The Basement at Bunyan exhibition space, Mill Street, Bedford. This is our second exhibition together which embraces two different approaches to figurative art but with similar underlying themes. Through my bold use of mixed media and Jean-Luc’s impasto techniques with oil, our work is united by our fascination with materials and how through layering it creates traces of history and process within their art which celebrate the unique characteristics of the mediums.
The exhibition runs 10-21 March 2020. PV / Tuesday 10 March 6.30-8.30pm.

Another great opportunity to handcraft a Balcony project. This time for the amazing charity Involve Nepal. Commissioned by founder Amelia Henriot to create an identity for their Autumn fundraising campaign , we’ve cut, chopped and hand printing our way through an abundance of custom type letters.
I love an opportunity to handcraft a Balcony project. This time for the amazing charity Involve Nepal. Commissioned by founder Amelia Henriot to create an identity for their Autumn fundraising campaign , we’ve cut, chopped and hand printing our way through an abundance of custom type letters.
Founded in 2015 following a devastating earthquake, Involve Nepal's focus is on reconstruction. They are determined to fulfil the basic human rights to housing, education and an adequate standard of living.
Collaborative working, the human hand and use of basic materials are fundamental in every Involve Nepal project. We wanted to reflect this by creating bespoke hand-cut and monoprinted letters, each with their own unique characteristics that are constructed to form the event’s title.
